Edward "Ed" Radomski

Edward Radomski was given his wings to heaven on Monday, July 31, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer.  He is now with our Lord and his beloved wife Margaret.  His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he had touched in so many ways.

Ed was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on February 1, 1937, to Nicolas and Katherine Radomski.  He attended Saint Adalberts School and went on to work at various local companies, finally retiring from Nucraft Furniture Company in 2008.  He was an active member of the Casino Club of Grand Rapids and the Knights of St. Casimir Aid Society (6th Street Hall).  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, telling jokes, playing cards, bowling and going out to breakfast.  He and Margaret spent many summers up north enjoying their trailer in Newaygo at Big Bend Campground.  Ed was always ready for the next road trip – and loved giving you directions!  He had such a sweet tooth, too, sneaking in his candies, cookies and pastries even before dinner!  Our dear Eddie was always there to share a story, advice and teach you how to fix and do just about anything!  Our hearts will deeply miss him!

Ed is survived by his sister, Delores Radomski; brother-in-law, Vern Hatch; special nieces and nephews, Marilyn Chapman, Tim (Daphne Shutts) Swanberg, Rick (Jody) Swanberg, Lisa (Doug) Hopkins; and many other family members; and incredibly special friends Bob and Carla Moriarty and their family.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents; and relatives, Rosemary Hatch, Jan O’Barr, Frank and Dorothy Radomski, and Bob Swanberg.

We thank the many staff that cared for him at the Cancer and Hematology Center at Lemmen-Holton, Corewell Health and Faith Hospice.

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, August 17, 11:00 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2275 Diamond Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
