Eleanor Marie (Davis) Barlow

Eleanor Marie Barlow age 89 of Grand Rapids Michigan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 6,2022.

Eleanor “Ellie” will be loving remembered by her children Cherrie and David Rackes, Christine Davis, Scott and Greg (Rummy) Remmelts, Tammie and Joe Tindall. She had five grandchildren James Remmelts, Noah (Liz) Rackes, Charlie (Heather) Hannah, and Emily Tindall. Ellie also had seven great grandchildren Bryan (Zoe)Shyla, Brandon, Emma, Gabby, Adam, and Nicholas. Along with nine great great grandchildren Teagan, Hayden, Catrionna, Ace, Emerson, Nora, Braedon, Millie Jo, Cecily and one in the oven due in January 2023. She is also survived by her sister in-law Mary Gallup and several nieces and nephews.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her mother Zueletta (Bobbie) Mark, her step father James Douglas Mark and her father Forrest Davis.

Ellie enjoyed bowling on leagues for many years, and participated in many tournaments both state and national. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend Dee Burke at her cabin on the Little Manistee River. She also loved traveling the world.

Eleanor retired from the Grand Rapids Press Classified department.

Funeral Service will be held Friday June 10, 2022 at 3pm at Wood Brook Cathedral located at 1739 Providence Rd NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49525, with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wood Brook Cathedral or Spectrum Hospice.
