Peacefully, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday April 22, 2021.She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family. Her, husband of 66 years Gordon L Blouw, daughter Sharon Glee “Blouw” Huisman; son in law Peter Alan Huisman; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother in law Marvin (Barb) Blouw; and many nieces and nephews. Gayle was preceded in death by her infant son Gordan L Blouw Jr; her parents Edwin P Breen, Lenore Glee (Gillette) Breen; and her brother & sister in-law, Edwin P Breen Jr. (Shirley).

Gayle was born and lived mostly in Grand Rapids MI, but also lived in Mesick, MI “Her happy place”. As a child she sang and tap danced in many recitals, later she sang in all the different choirs at park congregational church. She graduated from Creston High School class of 1953. During and after high school she worked at her family’s own business Breen Delivery Service. She married Gordon “Gordy” Blouw in 1955. They shared so many memories together, camping, traveling across the US with their beloved dogs in tow. Gayle enjoyed working at many retail stores (Wurzburg’s for one) but mostly stores having anything to do with window treatments was her true calling. She made many homes beautiful. At one point she and Gordon had their own business, Gayle’s Interiors in Cadillac Mi. Gayle enjoyed tending to her many flower gardens. She also enjoyed crocheting and embroidering many things for her family as gifts. We will truly miss her beautiful soul but know she is in a better place where we will join her someday. We honor her wishes of cremation; internment has taken place at Rosedale Cemetery.
