Glen A. Johnson

Glen Arthur Johnson age 81 passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024

Glen is preceded in death by his wife JoAnne Johnson, he has missed her terribly every day since losing her three years ago.  He is also preceded in death by his parents Arthur & Ethel Johnson,

Grandson Andrew Paul Pasche, and Granddaughter Lisa Marie VanSlyke.

Glen leaves behind his children, Glen Johnson, Joe Johnson (Mindy), Kevin Johnson (Tammi), Ted Pasche, Kindra VanSlyke, Beth Morris, Steve Carpenter (Mary), and Matthew Timmers.  He also leaves 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He also left his loyal canine companion Max.

 Over his working career he worked as a truck driver for Spartan Stores for 30 plus years and achieved the Million Miles of Safe Driving Award.  Glen never had just one job, raising 8 children there was always extra money to be made at one side job or another.  He was incredibly handy, if you had a project, you called Dad (Glen).  When he helped with a project he tried to make sure you learned something while doing it, everything was a teaching moment.

In his retirement years he kept himself busy with his lawn and feeding the wildlife in his yard.  In spring and summer, he was always in search of the best produce stands out in his hometown of Hudsonville.   He kept his local McDonalds on their toes with his daily visit for his coffees and breakfast, he never missed a day.
