Gloria W. Verway

On Sunday evening, February 23, 2020, at the age of 94, Gloria W Verway, of Grand Rapids, Michigan left her earthly life behind and peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior.

She began her life on a Sunday morning in January, 1926, the third child of Clarence and Ruth Verway of Muskegon Michigan. Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Clair, and her sister, Doris. Surviving are her daughter Jeanna Finch, son, Daniel Anderson, grandchildren, Eric Finch, Brett Anderson, Stephanie (Nick) Hendon, and great grandchildren, Abigail, Tristan and Reilly Finch, and Hayley Hendon.

Gloria thoroughly enjoyed the life God gave her and did her best to share His love with others. She had a way of connecting with people, seeing beneath the surface, and having a positive effect on their life. Her faith was resolute and at the heart of all she did. Her accomplishments and impacts on people over her lifetime are too numerous to list. Gloria’s inimitable character and spirit, strength and independence, love and tenderness, insight and wisdom, influenced and blessed those around her until her final days.

She will be deeply missed.

At her request, a simple family graveside memorial will take place in the spring at the country cemetery where Gloria will be buried next to her parents and other family members awaiting the Lord’s return.
