Ike White

Ike White, age 81, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.  He was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 24, 1944 to Ulice and Lovie Ruth White.  By the age of 3, his family relocated to Grand Rapids where he met and married Gwyneth, his wife of 48 years.

Ike enjoyed writing poetry and listening to classical music.

Ike is preceded in death by his parents and wife and is survived by his daughters Lisa and Erica, grandchildren Marcus, Madison, Jada, and Jalen, sister Vivian, and a host of cousins and friends. Ike also leaves behind his cat Lily who kept him company for many years.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday November 7, 2025 at Memorial Alternatives located at 2432 Fuller Ave. NE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
