Irvin E. Schwass

Irvin E. Schwass age 87, of Byron Center, Michigan passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025. He is preceded in death by Raymond Schwass (father) and Charlotte Schwass (stepmother), and a younger sister, Kay Frances.

Irvin leaves behind his loving wive Mary and their son Michael. He also leaves behind his twin brother Kenneth (Rose Ann), and his sisters Dawn and Joyce, along with numerus nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Friday June 6, 2025 at Temple Emanuel located at 1715 Fulton Street East, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503, with Rabbi Emeritus Albert Lewis officiating. Irvin’s remains will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Irvin’s memory to the Rabbi’s Fund, Cantors Fund, or The Food Bank at Temple Emanuel.
