Ivan W. Wheland Jr.

assed into Eternity...
Born August 22, 1934 in Findlay, Ohio.
Ivan graduated high school in Arcadia, Ohio, and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, and proudly served aboard the USS Wisconsin during the Korean Conflict, visiting many ports around the world.
Ivan then used the VA bill to attend Michigan State University, where he studied civil engineering and made friendships that he carried with him for close to 70 years.
Ivan was self-employed as a Manufacturers Representative, where his big personality thrived. He loved being social, being loud, and sharing his humor.
Dad loved traveling, golfing, being Up North, and watching Michigan State sports.
He was preceded in resurrection by his parents, sisters, and brother... and also his loving wives, Lois (1992) and his soul mate, Joyce (2012).
He is survived by his son Ivan III (Christina), and his daughter Sara (David) Bauchan, and his grandchildren Ivan IV, Vivian Rose, Jack, and Sam... and a host of good friends and neighbors.
The family would like to thank the Ron & Gerri Urbanski family for over 50 years of friendship and love for our Dad.
In lieu of a memorial, we will honor Dad's wishes this summer Up North.
