Jacobus (Jack) Faasen, 58, Grand Rapids, was found deceased in his home September 10, 2019.
Jack was born March 19, 1961, in Grand Rapids, MI and was a lifelong area resident. He attended Northview High School and Michigan State University’s College of Business where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree. For much of his working life he held positions as a courier for FedEx and a Quality Technician for MedBio Inc. Jack loved his son, grandchildren, and grand pups with every fiber of his being. A dream day for Jack would include bringing the kids and pups some gifts, getting dinner at Olive Garden, going to Chuck E. Cheese or swimming depending on the weather, and rolling around on the floor. He was an avid sports enthusiast and always supported his home teams including the Red Wings, Lions, Tigers, and Pistons. However, nothing rivaled his love for the Michigan State Spartans with one of his proudest moments being able to watch the Michigan State Men’s Basketball team win the 2000 NCAA Basketball Championship.
Jack is survived by his son, Mitch Faasen, Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Braxton and Harper Faasen; sisters, Joann Morningstar and Stephanie Tolger, Grand Rapids; his nephew, Jason Nichols; and his nieces, Angelic Morningstar, Heather Dibell, and Meghan Tolger.
He is preceded in death by parents, Stephanus and Johanna (Dam) Faasen.
