James M. Bouwens

James Bouwens age 86, passed away April 18, 2026.

He is preceded by his parents Helen and Jake. Also preceding him his wife of 60 years Marcia, his son Timothy, great granddaughter Ashley. his brother and sister in-law Larry and Kaye.

He is survived by daughters Sue (Mike) Harrington and Debbie (Geoff) Dewey. Grandchildren Danielle, Nicole, Jeffrey (Kristin), Matthew, Rita, Nicholas, Mitchell and Julie.  James is also survived by his six great grandchildren and brothers Bob (Pam) and Tom (Muriel).

Jim served in the Navy for three years along with two additional years in the revers. Jim retired from General Motors after 40 years of service and also Walker Fire Department after 45 years of service as Captain of #3. After retirement he and Marcia spent their winters in Florida.

A private family burial will be at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods for taking care of dad in his final days.
