James Edward Burgo

James Edward Burgo, 76 of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on November 14^th, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father Robert M. Burgo and his mother Phyllis E. Burgo (Swanson).

He is survived by his children; Robert (Susan) Burgo, Jamie Knapp, Danielle (Heath) Marsman, Amanda (Justin) May, as well as his grandchildren; Gavin Burgo, Laine Knapp, Lillie Marsman, Alexandria (Bradly) Irwin, Autumn Burgo, Julie Marsman, Adler May, and Kyla May.

James was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He was an adventurous soul who loved riding up to Big Bay on his motorcycle, traveling, playing with his cat (Fluffy), and most of all spending time with his family.

James spent his childhood traveling to military bases. He then spent his working years as a handyman but was most proud of the work he did installing flooring.

Everyone who knew Jim and the stories he told, knows he lived one hell of a life and will be forever missed.

There will be a Memorial Service Monday, November 21^st, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Alternatives, 2432 fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
