James Zahm Obituary

James P. Zahm age 87 of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024 surrounded by family.

James is preceded in death by parents Joseph and Petronella Zahm. He leaves behind his loving wife of sixty-three years Audrey Zahm and their four children Pamela (Jonathan) Fitzner, Steven Zahm, Beth (Bob) Margolis, and Laura (Larry) Fitz. James also leaves behind six grandchildren Desiree’ (Doug) Best, Bonnie Margolis, Jaclyn Margolis, Josh Margolis, Merci Fitz, and Nadia Fitz and two great grandchildren. He leaves his two sisters behind Pat Schmitt, and Joan (Bill) Westveer along with many niece’s, nephews and cousins.

James was a loving and committed husband, father, and grandfather and will truly be missed.

Per- James’s wishes he has donated his body to science and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
