It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jamie Kathleen Knapp, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend who peacefully passed away on November 23, 2024, at the age of 56.
Born on February 2, 1968, Jamie was the daughter of Kathleen Marie Hollebeck and the late James Edward Burgo. She grew up with a passion for caring for others, a quality that led her to earn her degree in Nursing. Throughout her career, Jamie worked as a dedicated nurse, and her kindness, compassion, and loving nature made a lasting impact on the lives of her residents and colleagues.
In her personal life, Jamie found joy in her pets, who were more like family, and in her creative pursuits. She had a special gift for crafting, particularly in making beautiful and intricate miniatures, a hobby that brought her much joy and fulfillment. Jamie was a woman of deep Christian faith, and her life was marked by kindness, generosity, and profound love for those around her.
Jamie’s presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, care, and compassion will live on in the hearts of her children, family, and friends. She leaves behind her son Gavin Burgo, her daughter Laine Knapp, her mother Kathleen (Larry) Hollebeck, her brother Robert (Susan) Burgo, and her niece Autumn Burgo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pet Tales Rescue (pettalesrescue.com) or a local rescue of your choice in her memory.
Jamie’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the love and support they’ve received during this difficult time
