Jann Gladys (Shepard) Vander Mey

Jann G. Vander Mey, aged 67 entered into the presence of her Lord peacefully at home in Rockford, Michigan on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 due to brain cancer.

She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, librarian, piano player & teacher, English teacher and Bible study leader.

Jann loved to serve the Lord, tell people about Jesus and help them grow in their walk with Him. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan and she lived and served the Lord with her husband Paul in Muskegon, Lansing & Grand Rapids, Michigan; Aurora, Illinois; Kansas City, Missouri and Guadalajara, Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her mother (Virginia McDowell Shepard). Jann is survived by her husband (Paul), her father (Ralph Shepard), her 3 children & their spouses (Aaron Vander Mey (Elisabeth), Christy De Man (Steve) & Bethany Wright (Eric), her 5 grandchildren (Brianna De Man, Isaac De Man, Halle De Man, Carli Vander Mey & Layla Wright) and her 6 siblings (Jane Rhoades, Ralph Shepard, Bryan Shepard, Douglas Shepard, Aaron Shepard & Ruth Matson) and their families.

There will be a Celebration of Jann's life, Thursday, February 18 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2050 Aberdeen NE, Grand Rapids, MI  49505. You are welcome to join us in person for the service at 11:00 a.m. The family will greet friends 1 hour prior.
