Joanne Dykstra age 79 of Alto, Michigan passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Nancy Barber, and brothers Robert and Daniel Barber.
Joanne leaves behind her loving husband James Dykstra and their two sons David (Jenifer) Dykstra and Benjamin Dykstra. She also leaves behind her three grandchildren Caleb, Kaitlin, and Connor and her great grandchildren Callum, Annette. She is survived by her four sisters Carol (Bruce) Anderson, Nanci VadenBerg, Elizabeth (Denny) Kissenger, Terri (James) Kissenger, along with many nieces and nephews.
Professionally Joanne was an RN. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed caring for others. Over the years Joanne enjoyed attending the ballet, the piano and photography. Joanne loved and cherished her time with grandchildren and family.
Per Joanne’s wishes cremation has taken place and Joanne's family plans to celebrate her life privately at a later date.
