John E. Crosby, age 70, passed away Thursday October 17, 2019 at Blodgett Hospital. He was born March 14, 1949 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Ralph and Marie (Brewer) Crosby, who preceded him in death.
John was a passionate teacher who loved teaching students the fundamentals of math and computers at Rockford Public Schools, for 30 years retiring in 2003. An avid golfer who also loved sailing, fishing, hunting, and camping trips to the far reaches of northern Ontario with family and friends. He was always ready to lend a hand to help his family and friends, and constantly excited about a new project and the problem solving involved.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilynn (Spencer) Crosby, his twin brother Jim and Sally (Estefan) Crosby, children David and Elizabeth (VanBuren) Crosby and Kevin and Chelsea (Kunkel) Crosby, and grandchildren Owen, Arwen, Elwen, Spencer, and Dylan.
