John George Petersen

Petersen II, John George John George Petersen II passed away January 23, 2020.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Mary (Eisenga), sons John III, Thomas (Julia) and Nicholas (Chasity), as well as his grandchildren Rowan, Riley, Sean and Talia. His sisters Judy (Osmon) Kasper, Carol Galineau and Sandra (Bob) Kimble. His siblings Fred (Suzanne) Petersen, Linda (Chuck) Beurmann and Faith Petersen. His In-laws Dr. Bern (MaryBeth) Eisenga, Hank (Ila) Eisenga, Helen (Eric) Hansen, Linda (Mike) Carlson, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John G. Petersen I and Doris I. Petersen.

John enjoyed working with his hands in construction and was a giving and loving man who lived life with grace and humor and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Upon his request, he will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday January 29 at 11 a.m at Faith United Church of God, 3290 Walker Ave NW, Walker, Michigan, luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall.
