Obituary
John H. Stengel born August 27, 1942, passed away April 29, 2023. He is survived by his children John (Marion) Stengel, Jim (Stacey) Stengel, and Shawn (Chris) Nyburg. 5 grand children, and 3 great-grand children. Also, his long-time partner, Barb Williams and her 3 sons, Glen, Rick, and Keith Searl.
John served over 30 years in the United States Army where he reached the rank of (LTC) Lieutenant Colonel. He then worked for GM for over 30 years where he retired from. He spent lots of hours and years volunteering for numerous organizations such as the Kent County vets honor guard, 4H, Grand Rapids police dept. just to name a few. He will be missed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday May 4, 2023 from 2-4pm at Memorial Alternatives
