Joyce Driesens Obituary

Joyce L. Driesens age 85, of Byron Center, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Railside Living Center.  Joyce was born and raised in Kalkaska, Michigan. After graduating from Kalkaska High School, she married and moved to the Grand Rapids area. Joyce later worked at Lear Siegler and Jet Electronics. She divorced, and later remarried Gordon Driesens.  Joyce and Gordy enjoyed golfing, spending time at Sandy Pines and after retiring, traveling to Arizona for the winter months.
Joyce’s two favorite hobbies were crocheting and card making with both her daughters.  Joyce loved spending time with her grandchildren and then her great grands. They were all the sparkle in her eyes.
Joyce is preceded in death by her second husband, Gordon, and son-in-law, Todd.  She is survived by two daughters; Robin (Bob) Sparpana-Woudstra and Kelly (Gary) Leeuwenburg, five grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Woodhaven Reformed Church (Community building), 3959 68th St., Byron Center.  A private burial will be held at a later date in Kalkaska.  The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Interim Hospice, where contributions can be made in Joyce’s name.
