Judith Hoey

Judith Ann Hoey age 77 of Belmont Michigan went home to be with her maker and Lord on Saturday January 7, 2023, after battling ovarian cancer for eight-teen years. Judith passed away peacefully in her sleep. Like her personality, she was strong willed with her fight and died with her dignity.

 Judith was a school bus driver and later a route planner for Grand Rapids Public Schools until retirement. She loved to travel and spending time with her whole family. Family togetherness was important to her.

Judy is preceded in death by her mother Betty Fritts, father Carlton Fritts, and her second oldest son Scott Ritsema.

Judy is survived by her three sons Rick Ritsema, Larry (Karen) Kaleta, and Brian (Stephanie) Price. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brooke Ritsema, Richard (Jessica) Kaleta, Larry Kaleta III, William Kaleta and Devin Price, along with two great granddaughters Kensley Homrich and Kora Kaleta. Judy is survived by her five siblings Carl (Bev) Fritts, Mark (Deb) Fritts, Donna Keckler, Linda (Jim) Reynolds, and Jane Nowak. As well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, all who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Friday January 20, 2023 from 1pm to 5pm at the Moose Lodge #50 located at 11510 North Division Ave. Sparta, MI 49345
