Judythe Stites

Judythe Ann Stites, age 86 of Rockford, Michigan passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was born March 19,1938 in Saginaw, Michigan, yet enjoyed most of her life in the Grand Rapids area.

Judy loved entertaining family, especially during the Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. She loved animals and especially her many precious dogs and cats. Her favorite hobby was hunting for treasures at garage sales and flea markets. She worked 20 years as a special education teacher’s aid for the Grand Rapids Public Schools.

Judy is survived by her children; Terry (Debra) Stites, Larry (Beverly) Stites and Gary Stites; grandchildren, Aaron Stites, Derek (Stephanie) Stites, Krista Stites and Hayley (Ryan) Rusco; granddaughter-in-law, Amalia Stites; great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Max, Luke and Zoey Stites; many nieces and nephews;

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William Stites; parents, Walter and Dorothy Dietz; brother, Clinton Ring; grandchildren, Matthew Stites and Jeffery Stites.

Judy was laid to rest at Plainfield Cemetery in Belmont, Michigan. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday April 18, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm at Memorial Alternatives located at 2432 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids Michigan 49505.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donating to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
