Julie Lynn (Slabbekoorn) Powell

Our Beloved Julie passed away on April 6th 2021. Julie was preceded in death by grandparents, Leonard and Donna Slabbekoorn, Joan Maxwell and John Wood. Julie is survived by parents Gary and Deb Slabbekoorn; sons, Jordan and Kaiden; sister, Staci Moblo; brother, Mark Slabbekoorn; niece and nephew Baya and Camden; grandmother, Jane Wood; several aunts and uncles and cousins

Julie's greatest joy in life was her two sons. She adored spending time with them and was the best at making every birthday and holiday special. Julie loved watching snow falling in the winter and would enjoy drinking hot cocoa and watching the movie Elf with them. 

Julie's favorite season of all was summer. She was always happiest being on the pontoon surrounded by friends and family, or reading a good book. She loved baking and bringing people treats, especially her niece and nephew. She also enjoyed exploring new places and going on mini adventures with her boys. 

Visitation will be at 1pm on April 13th with service to follow at 2pm. It will be held at Cascade Christian Church 2829 Thornapple River Dr SE Grand Rapids MI 49546.
