Karen Orinda Blocher born June 12, 1952 departed from us March 14, 2025 due to cancer in the safe space of her son David’s home as she wished.
She was a devoted Mother to both David Blocher and Jeremy Blocher and loved her grandchildren Nicholas Blocher, Hannah Belka, Dedra Blocher, Jakob Belka, Justin Belka, Adrianna Blocher and was great grandma to Naria Pettis.
Karn is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Neva DuVerneay, the father of her sons Greg Blocher, and her younger brother Douglas DuVerneay.
Karen is lovingly remembered by her siblings Jim DuVerneay (Kathy), Ron DuVerneay, Fred and Monica DuVerneay, Cheryl Beckett, Jeff DuVerneay (Debbie), Special Sister-in-laws Nancy and Sharlynn and many Nieces and Nephews who she loved dearly.
She loved helping people even if it meant that she went without and was always there to offer a smile to cheer you up and give advice (sometimes even if you didn’t want it).
Karen loved sewing, knitting and crocheting (many of us have blankets to prove it), Karen loved animals as much as people, feeding and caring for many strays.
She was a devout and faithful Christian who loved attending services at Frontline Church and spreading the word to her grandchildren.
Karen will be deeply missed by all who loved her, she is now at peace and reunited with others that have passed before her.
