Kathryn "Katie" L. (Gonzales) Gordon

It is with profound sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Kathryn Lyn Gordon (Katie), on June 1, 2026. She passed peacefully in the comforting embrace of her family after a brief, valiant battle with cancer. Born on March 21, 1981, Katie is the beloved daughter of Rudy and Lyn Gonzales, and sister to Daniel Gonzales. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilford and Sybil Nickel, and Mike and Celia Gonzales. Katie graduated from Forest Hills Northern HS, Class of 1999, and Central Michigan University. Katie enjoyed a career in Underwriting at 53 Bank for many years.

On February 19, 2005, Katie married Andrew Gordon, her partner in life and love. Together they built a beautiful life in Ada, MI, raising three remarkable children: Mason, Madelyn, and Minnie.

Katie was a devoted fan of the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings. Katie's legacy is one of love, joy, and kindness. Her memory will be cherished by those whose lives she touched. Though her time with us was far too brief, her impact was profound and enduring. As we say goodbye to our dear Katie, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to shine brightly. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

 Rest in peace, dear Katie. Your light will continue to illuminate our hearts.
