Kelly Kennedy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly Kennedy, who died on September 14, 2025, just shy of his 62nd birthday. He was born on September 16, 1963, in Downey, California. Kelly had been a long-time resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Kelly was a devoted fan of all things Detroit sports, living and breathing for the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions. His passion for his favorite teams was a familiar and constant presence to those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Kennedy.

Kelly is survived by his wife, Karen Frens-Kennedy; his mother, Gayle Camp; his daughter, Rachel (Travis) Ward; and his two grandsons, Neil and Nash Ward.

A private memorial service will be held by the family to honor his life.
