Kimberly K. Alexander

Kimberly Kay Alexander age 64 of Grand Rapids, Michigan went home to her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents Philip and Joan Elderkin, sister Lori Gorecki, Uncle Edwin Jarvi and beloved fur baby Maggie.

Kimberly leaves behind her loving husband of thirty-eight years Jon Alexander and her six children Jennel (Bryan Bultman) Elderkin, Keith (Tran Nguyen) Killgore, Summer (Anis) Jukanovic, Brittany (Matt) Hogan, her twins Joey Alexander, Jasmine (Michael Weeks) Alexander and specially bonded nephew Brandon Drayton. She will be lovingly remembered by her thirteen grandchildren Zachary, Alien, MJ, Brianna, Sadie, Arijana, Tyler, Alden, Kaden, Lilly, Amin, Logan, Nolan, and sister Dawn Vaughn. Also, feeling a tremendous loss are her nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends from the state wide musical community.

Kim was a kind, loving, and caring person. She found great joy and pride in being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Kim had a great passion for music, she loved to sing, whether it was just to herself or singing karaoke to a crowd. Having gatherings and hosting holidays was one of Kim’s favorite things to do, going all out to plan and host Christmas starting nearly six months in advance. One of Kim’s greatest joys was watching her children and grandchildren open gifts one by one every December 25. As Kim was an amazing cook her family always looked forward to her Swedish meatballs and her delicious pot roast. Laughter and joy poured out of Kim, but she was terrible joke teller. Her heart extended to those in need and the homeless community, Kim would always make sure to have extra bottles of water or snacks to be able to share with the people in need who she crossed paths with.  Kim will truly be missed by her family and friends. We will always love you to the moon and back.

Per-Kim’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
