Laura Marie Helms passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, surrounded by love. She was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved mother, Julia Zimmerman; father, Joseph Helms; and brother, Hank Helms.

Laura’s memory will be lovingly cherished by her children: Dillon, Justin (Alex), Ashley, James (Danielle), Tony, Kayla, and Jonathan. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her unborn grandson. She is also remembered by her significant other, Torrey; her sister, Kathy Helms; and her brothers, Joey and Buster; many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and close friends.

Family was the center of Laura’s world, and being a grandmother was the highlight of her life. She had a gentle soul, a radiant smile, and a heart that found joy in the simple things- morning sunrises, beach sunsets, a good song on the radio, a warm cup of coffee, target runs, and the laughter and smiles of those she held dear. Laura was known for her gentle heart, deep devotion, and unwavering love for her family and those close to her.

 Though, she left us too soon, her spirit will live on in the memories we hold close. Her life was a gift, and her memory will continue to be a blessing.

A celebration of life is currently being planned, and the date will be announced later.
