Leo J. Spayde

Leo Spayde, age 62, of Grand Rapids Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 8, 2023. He was born April 26, 1961 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Richard and Patricia (O’Brien) Spayde.

In addition to his parents, Leo is preceded in death by his brother Mark Spayde; three sisters, Leanne Toskey, Michelle Morse, and Suellen VanDyke.  He is survived by his brother Kraig (Brenda) Spayde; his former wife Candace Ruler, and their two children Dr. Amber (Mark) Daugherty and Asa J. Richard Spayde; grandchildren Layla Daugherty, Dylan Daugherty, Mason Spayde and Ariah Spayde. Leo is also survived by his son Kyle Skinner and grandchildren Kole Skinner and Trinity Skinner and great-granddaughter Phoenix.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; good friends Bob, George and Eddie.

Leo was a master upholsterer by trade.  He enjoyed playing frisbee, horse shoes, cards, dice and board games.  He liked meeting new people and having good conversations.

Per-Leo’s wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
