Lila Rockwell

Lila was called to her heavenly home on September 1, 2025, ten days shy of her 103rd birthday.

A beautiful soul, who lived life to the fullest passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her adventurous and sweet personality. Always ready to try anything, including rock climbing at 89 years old and skydiving at 101 years old.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Ward (Rocky) Rockwell. She is survived by her three daughters; MaryEllen Driscoll (Ted), Kerry Neuman (Jim, deceased), and Gerrie Steketee (Don), many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held next summer at her lake house at Thunderhawk Resort on Little Whitefish Lake in Pierson Michigan, date TBA. Donations in memory of Lila can be made to Frederick Meijer Gardens.
