PALMA – Lillian Ann Palma (Callan), age 91, went into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at her home in Hudsonville, Michigan.
Lillian was born on May 13, 1929 and grew up on a farm in Grandville. She appreciated nature and even during her later years especially enjoyed helping her brother, Bill, with haying and harvesting firewood. She passed on her work ethic and compassionate nature to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Thomas, Sr. and Mary Edna (Noel) Callan; her son, James Palma; grandson, Aaron Palma; brother, Earl Callan, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Mary Callan. She is survived by her children, Patricia and (Harold) Osterbaan, Wyoming; Sandra and (Steve) VanderMolen, Hudsonville; Julie and (Terry) Edewaard, Holland; grandchildren Ryan and (Danielle) Palma, Chicago, Illinois; Julia Jongsma, Seattle, Washington; Carmen Dreyer, Caledonia; Candice Jongsma, Bryan, Texas; Dan and (Angel) VanderMolen, Hudsonville; Lindsey and (Andrew) Gallas, Caledonia; Jenna VanderMolen and (fiance’ Jerrell Mitchell), Wyoming; Kara and (Mish) Aleisa, Phoenix, Arizona; Scott Edewaard, Holland; Valerie Edewaard, Holland; and five great grandchildren; brother, William Callan, Middleville; Laura Callan, Hudsonville; and nephews and nieces.
Her remains will be laid to rest privately in Georgetown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Lillian’s name to The Potter’s House School; www.tphgr.org.
