Lois (Kruk) Thas

They are together again. On June 13, 2023, Lois was welcomed into heaven and reunited with her husband, Peter Thas, as well as those she loved who left and went before her. Lois, 92, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Formerly of Illinois, Florida and lastly Michigan.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends. Cherished mother of Pamela (Kurt) Schabes, the late Dawn (James) Angarone and the late Brian Thas.

Adored grandmother of Crystal Thas, Brandon Schabes and Kailene (Timothy) DeVries.

Treasured great-grandmother of Emily Howard, Neil DeVries and Izzy DeVries.

Loving sister of the late Wayne (Cindy) Kruk and the late Ronald Kruk. Loving sister-in-law of David and Linda Thas. Fond aunt of Gayiety Thas and Heather (Andrea) Taylor.

Above all, Lois loved her family. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved looking at their pictures on her digital picture frame and spending time with them.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 9th, 2pm at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 5125 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 (616)942-9091.
