Lyle E. Weeks

Lyle E. Weeks of Lowell passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026.  He is preceded in death by his brother Clare E. Weeks, his mother Laura Weeks, his father Clarence A. Weeks (Mike), and his wife of 65 years Errolyn J. Weeks.  He is survived by his four children Laurie A. Weeks (Anne), Louise Weeks, Stephen E. Weeks (Suzann), and Susan M. Anderson (Dean), seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Lyle worked for the Kent County Road Commission (KCRC) for 40 years and 4 months.  After Lyle retired from the KCRC, a few weeks later he began work at the neighbor’s farm (Richmond Gold Star Farm) for 20 more years of work.  He then retired at the young age of 84.  He gained more family working on the farm, Mark Richmond (Sherry) and their 6 children.

Lyle enjoyed 30+ years singing with the Great Lakes Chorus-Grand Rapids Chapter (Barber Shoppers).  He also worked as a young father with the Kent County Sheriff’s Department in the Mounted Division.  He always had a love of horses.
