Lynnette Marie Kruchkow-Portko

Lynnette Marie Kruchkow-Portko (a/k/a “the goddess”) born on January 29, 1965 in Aurora, Colorado went home to be with her parents, Samuel and Margaret Kruchkow on October 23, 2024 at the age of 59 at her home in Walker, Michigan due to an accidental death.  Lynn was a graduate of Bay City Western High School and attended Delta College, worked as a retail manager for various major department stores in Detroit, and for Gantos in Grand Rapids. Lynn was a talented licensed realtor with Keller Williams Realty of Kent County. Lynn also loved working as a paralegal for her husband’s law firm, Advocate Law Office; Lynn and Jeff worked together side by side for twenty years. Lynn was raised in the Ukrainian Catholic Church and taught Catholic education to many students.  Lynn was very proud of her Russian/Ukrainian and Irish heritage.

We mourn the loss of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  Lynn touched the lives of many people, she had a heart and mind that was full of love and compassion, and she would do anything for anyone.  Lynn’s children were her pride and joy, she loved them beyond measure.

Lynn enjoyed being with her family, friends, traveling internationally with her husband and loving on her canine fur babies. Like her dad she loved painting, dancing, music and cooking her famous Golumpki (Polish Golabki). Lynn excelled in photography.  Lynn loved lakes, beaches and oceans, the Caribbean islands and mostly the warmth of the sun.  

Lynn leaves behind the love of her life Jeffrey Raymond Portko, her twin children Britanee and Samuel Kane, step children Martin, Andrew (Annie), Caitlin (Victoria) Portko, grandchildren Romina Portko, Madelynn Portko, Nolen Portko and Lily Eberspeaker, siblings Kris (Rob) Andrzejewski, Chris (Dan) Voss, Jennifer (Grant) Howell, Sandy (Andrew) Hoffmann, sister-in-law Mary (Gerry) O’Donnell-Portko, step mom and friend Doreen Kruchkow and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Margaret Kruchkow, mother-in-law Susan Portko and father-in-law Raymond Portko, brothers in law Raymond and Lawrence (Karen) Portko and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at a later date.  THE SEVEN SPANISH ANGELS HAVE TAKEN ANOTHER ANGEL HOME.
