Margaret Newberg

Margaret V. Newberg, age 99 of Grand Rapids, Michigan went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday October 21, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl of 72 years.  She is survived by her children Robert (Cathleen), Carl (Anne), Thomas (Paula), Charles (Marisa) 14 Grandchildren, and 24 Great Grandchildren.  Margaret is also survived by her sister Martha Droski of Holland and brother Herbert Carlson of Petoskey.  Margaret worked for the American Cancer Society and the Grand Rapids Public Schools.  She loved and was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing bridge with her long-time bridge groups.  The family would like to thank the Oaks of Belmont, Hospice of Holland and special friend Doris who took such good care of her. Margaret’s doors were always open to anyone with her welcoming arms.  She will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am, visitation 10:00am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 250 Commerce SW Grand Rapids MI, on December 2, 2022. For those who wish, donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to the Bethlehem Lutheran Mission Endowment Fund.
