Martha Louise Larson, beloved wife, mother, grandma, daughter, and sister passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 96, with her daughters by her side. She was born on February 15, 1929 in Cadillac, Michigan to loving parents Glen and Gertude Luhrs.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Larson of 47 years, and their son Donald L. Larson.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Debra (Merle Black) Larson, Jan (Denis) Smith, Lisa (Mike) Rocheleau, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and special sister-in-law, Marilyn Pratt.
Martha was a woman of warmth, spirit, and quiet strength. She lived a long and beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. She had a passion for travel and cherished the time spent at her condo in Florida, where she found both relaxation and joy. Known by her family as an extraordinary cook and to her grandchildren- the "best pancake maker" around---a title she wore with pride and a smile.
In her younger years, she embraced the outdoors, enjoying golf, cross-country skiing and biking with friends from Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a devoted member of the community.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and memories that will be treasured forever.
A family graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Maple Hill Cemetery, in Cadillac, Michigan.
