Marylou P. Warren (Whitcomb), our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025 after a short illness. She was 92.
She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on January 4, 1933 to Elton and Pearl Whitcomb. She graduated from Creston High School in 1950 where she played in the school band and was on the school swim team. On July 15th of that year, she married the love of her life Frederick H. Warren Sr.
After having 10 children she went to college and received a degree at age 42 in microbiology from Grand Valley State College. Marylou also received State Certification with the State of Michigan as a resident agent for accidental & health insurance. In 1988 she moved with Fred to White Cloud where they built a log cabin and lived there until her beloved husband passed in 2010. Moving back to Grand Rapids, Marylou moved around a bit ending up in assisted living in Jenison where she passed.
Marylou enjoyed her life with family and friends. She especially loved her grand babies. Marylou couldn’t wait for the holidays so she could see all of them. In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golf, crafting and camping. She loved to travel, do crossword puzzles, read her People magazines, play cards and go to Bingo.
