Merrie Lynn (Johnson) Pieri-Clark

Merrie Lynn Pieri-Clark, aged 69 of Belmont, Michigan passed away, Tuesday, March 10, 2020

Born in Grand Rapids at Butterworth Hospital 12/30/1950.

She is survived by her husband Gary, his daughters; Socorro, Sienna and Marisol, her brother Jon and wife Georgia; their daughter Molly, her husband Phillip and their children; Emily, Wyatt and Wade. 

She was a graduate of Creston High School class of 69’.  She took classes at Grand Rapids Junior College. 

Merrie moved to California where she explored her passions as a volunteer firefighter and spent 10 years as a caretaker at a private rare bird sanctuary.  She moved back to Grand Rapids where she spent 18 years as a zookeeper at John Ball Zoo. 

After her retirement she became involved with the Fulton Street Art Market where she sold her art and helped run the market for several years. Merrie became very involved with Festival of Arts of Grand Rapids and co-chaired in 2017. 

Through her volunteering, she met many wonderful people and enjoyed going to Tuesday Spaghetti night at Vinecroft Studios.

Merrie and Gary were married 2002; they had many great adventures together. 

She will be deeply missed and loved.
