Michael Mc Caffrey

Michael "Mike" John McCaffrey age 58 of Grand Rapids Michigan went home to his Lord and Savior on May 25, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Dorothy McCaffrey. and his sister Patty McCaffrey.

Michael leaves behind his four children Erin McCaffrey, Bridget McCaffrey, Riley McCaffrey and Aidan McCaffrey. He also leaves behind his six siblings Tom McCaffrey, Kathy (Pete) Terry, Marty (Sue) McCaffrey, Frank (Linda) McCaffrey, Dottie (Don) Dodgson, and Peggy (Dean) Dodgson, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mike was born in Columbus Ohio on September 13. 1964 and moved to Grand Rapids. Michigan at a very young age. Mike was the youngest of eight children. He later went to graduate from Grand Rapids Community College with an associate's degree. Over the years Mike worked many interesting jobs. Mike was always quick witted, funny and loved to goof around. His kids fondly remember his love for ice cream with crazy toppings, his favorites from the frozen food section, and Coca-Cola. Mike was a sports enthusiast, he enjoyed watching Lions and Steelers games. He loved to tinker with things, he enjoyed working on Jeep's and motorcycles. Mike was also a history buff, collected maps, and loved a large variety of music and movies. Above all, Mike loved his four kids the most, they were truly his pride and joy.

Mike left this world too soon and will truly be missed by his family and friends, but he can finally get a goodnight's sleep.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 2, 2023 at Memorial Alternatives located at 2432 Fuller Ave. NE Grand Rapids Michigan 49505 from 3pm to 7pm.
