Michael Murphy Obituary

Michael John Murphy, aged 76 of Hudsonville, Michigan passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, Monday, February 8, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Kathleen; brothers, Arthur and John and son, Michael Joseph.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Phyllis; daughter, Rebecca (Scott) Whitman; grandsons, Ryan Wysocki (fiancé Kaila Camilleri), Alexander Whitman (girlfriend, Kathryn Hibschman); brothers, Gary, Arland and Terrence.

Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and former owner of Grand Rapids Stripping Company. He was a long time member of Sunnybrook County Club.

Mike enjoyed golfing, bowling and making wooden toys for kids of all ages.

The family would like to give special recognition and thanks to Dr. Ryan Grayburn and the staff at Spectrum Health Advance Heart Failure Clinic and his favorite nurse, Brianna Beilfuss from Spectrum Health visiting nurses. Their care and compassion will never be forgotten.

Due to current Covid restrictions, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be planned at a later date.
