Patricia Marie (Ford) Minnema

Patricia Marie Ford Minnema age 73, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022 after her five-year battle with breast cancer. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-years David Minnema. Pat leaves behind her two children Sonya Minnema, and Scott Minnema. She also leaves behind her three grand children Aaron Wisner, Timothy Minnema, and Allyson Minnema, along with one great grandchild Luke Wisner. Pat is also survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pat lived a full life and enjoyed many things. She loved to travel to many places, she even took a couple trips of a life time. She took a family trip to Atlanta, Georgia for the 1996 Olympic Games, and later took an amazing trip to Italy. During much of her travels she would stop at a variety of casinos on her way to her destination and on her way home, playing penny slots. From this she always enjoyed her very expensive free gifts from the casinos. Pat was an avid reader, she loved diving into a good book. She also loved sports did not matter the sport she just loved to watch sporting events. Pat was loved by all and will truly be missed by her family and friends.

The Minnema family would like to extend a very special thank you to caring staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for all of their help and support over the years.

Per Pat’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be on October 1st at New Community Church. Family will welcome visitors at 12pm with a service at 1pm. Following the service there will be a luncheon for all to attend.
