Peggy Joanne (Eisenhuth) Rietema

Peggy was born in Johnstown Pennsylvania on January 10th 1954 to her proud parents Jesse and Lorene Eisenhuth. She was a graduate in the top of her class from Comstock Park High School in 1972. Peggy lived life to the fullest! Not long after graduating she started working at Tillman's restaurant. During her many years there she met her best friend Barbara Jean and the love of her life Larry Rietema. Together she and Larry enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, the Caribbean, California and more. They also loved to entertain, hosting the best Super bowl and pool parties ever. Peggy loved working in the hospitality industry at Louis Benton Steakhouse, Red's on the River in Rockford and lastly at Bud and Stanley's. She loved her furry friends CC, Angel, Buffy Lou, Spaz and Charley Sue.

Venice Florida became her favorite second home where she would visit her friend Bob and recently helped her dear friends Deb and Kim find their Venice home. In her free time you would find Peggy at her favorite store, the GW Boutique, aka the Goodwill store, usually with her sister Tami. She was very proud of her flowers and yard art at her home. On a regular basis Peggy would invite friends to Adult Therapy at her house ( Happy Hour ) for white Russians.

Peggy was diagnosed with severe throat cancer in August 2018. After a two year, hard fought battle she peacefully passed away on September 1st 2020, thankfully with her sister and awesome friends Deb and Roxanne by her side. Cremation has taken place.

Peggy will be dearly missed and remembered by her son Dale Smith, her brother Ernie Eisenhuth, her sister Tami ( Jim ) Walker along with many more relatives and friends.

A social distancing Memorial Service will take place at Grace Fellowship Church 735 Buth Dr. Comstock Park MI.at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday the 15th of October. For those who cannot attend, messages may be sent to walker.tami@yahoo.com
