Richard Eugene Pawloski

Richard Eugene Pawloski, 75, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 23, 2020.

Rick had a love of education and science. He enjoyed telling stories and making people laugh. Rick graduated from Wayland Union High School, received his teaching degree from Western Michigan University and Masters degree from Michigan State University. He taught for Northview Public Schools for 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and loved playing his guitar. He was married to his beautiful wife for 51 years. They loved traveling and spending time with good friends in New Mexico.

Rick is survived by his wife, Mary, daughters, Judy Pawloski, Cathy (Marty) Calveneau, his adored grandsons Zach and Cole Calveneau, sister-in-law Maureen Pawloski, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Rick was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Irene Pawloski, his sister Pat Decker (Phil), and his brother Ronald Pawloski.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at North Park Presbyterian Church 500 N Park St NE Grand Rapids, MI 49525. Visitation is from 10am-11am and funeral services at 11am. In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Music Fund at North Park Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
