Richard Ysseldyke Obituary

Richard “Jerry” Ysseldyke age 90 of Ada, Michigan passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Bernice Ysseldyke and his three siblings Phyllis Worpel, Robert Ysseldyke, and Edward Ysseldyke.

Richard leaves behind his loving wife of sixty-five years Dawn Ysseldyke and their three children Thor (Amy) Ysseldyke, Ty (Jennifer) Ysseldyke, and Tenley Ysseldyke, along with seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother Bill (Kathy) Ysseldyke along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jerry was a kind and simple man. He proudly served his country for four years in the U.S. Airforce during the Cold War. Jerry worked at Amway for a majority of his working career. After thirty-eight years this is where he retired from. He was also an active member of the Schubert club for sixty-three years. Jerry enjoyed spending time outside riding bikes, skiing, going to classic car shows, and simply doing yard work on their five-acre property. Jerry enjoyed many winters in Florida with Dawn. While the girls spent time at the beach or shopping, Jerry always looked forward to afternoon poker with close friends. He also enjoyed simply spending time with family and friends. Jerry will truly be missed.

Per- Jerry’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at later date.
