Robert D. “Bob” Lukso age 65, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away suddenly from heart arrest, due to COPD on Sunday December 22, 2024. His brother Mike and sister Norma witnessed his sprit leave this earth and enter Heaven. He is now with our Lord and rests in the arms of our mother Marian L. Lukso (deceased 1997). Robert is also preceded in death by his father, J. Joe Lukso and his sister Susie. He leaves behind his four siblings; Joey, Norma, Steve and Mike. Robert also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Bob was a realist. He chose to be the quiet one and had a kind demeanor. He observed his surroundings and gave his heart to people. Bob shared a home with his brother Mike. Together they enjoyed weekly walks at Palmer Park, sharing automotive stories, and watching football. Bob would often say “Being born the last of six children was the best of times and the worst of times."
Bob was a graduated from Kelloggsville schools in 1977. His life long education involved growing up on Clay Ave., and working in a variety of jobs including, woodworking for Johnson Furniture and metal work for heating and cooling companies. In retirement Bob enjoyed delivering parts for Parker Brake. It was his peace and solitude. Thank you, guys, for letting him ride along with you.
We wish for all to carry Bob in your memories and hearts, for he just needs to rest now.
We will miss you brother.
