Robert Joseph Walenga

Robert (Bob) Walenga, beloved father (Dad, Pa), grandfather and great-grandfather (Grandpa) and master woodworker, and WWII Navy Veteran, went to rest peacefully with Jesus and joined his beloved wife, Harriet, on November 28, 2022.  He will be forever loved and remembered by his daughters, Susan Walenga (Ken Jellison, deceased) and Marcia Borowka and husband Ken; his cherished grandchildren Kristina Pankratz and husband Scott, Michael Borowka and wife Katy, and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Aaron Pankratz and Markus and Maxwell Borowka.  He will also be lovingly remembered by very special friends Kathy, Gary and Megan; forever friend, Rosann; Sam and Enza and all his friends and “family” at Fred’s Italian Restaurant.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Harriet, and brother Donald Walenga (Margaret).  The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caring staff at Faith Hospice who provided compassionate care so that Dad could remain at home.  At Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be held in January.  Anyone wishing to express their sympathy may do so with a contribution to Faith Hospice or a charity of their choice.
