Ronald L. Hawkins

Ronald Lee Hawkins, age 75, passed away September 4, 2024 in Grand Rapids, MI.

Ron was born in Grand Rapids on March 6, 1949, attended Creston High School and is preceded in death by his parents, John B Hawkins and Lola (Papke) Hawkins.

He leaves behind to mourn his loss the love of his life Carol Wilson Maurer and their children Rhonda Hawkins, Jeremy Hawkins, Keli Hawkins, Nathan (Jessica) Maurer, and Cameron (Aimee) Maurer. He also will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Jon (Christa) Plummer, Brandon Hawkins Ortiz, Jayce Hawkins, and Rachael, Brooke and Benjamin Maurer. Ron also has 6 great grandchildren that will miss him dearly, Aidan, Jacob, Alexandria, Jackson, Ariya and Jariya.

Ron loved fishing whether it was sunny, raining or the lake was covered with ice, and he never saw a rock he couldn't resist putting in his truck.

Per Ron's wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Ron's Life will be held at a later date.
