St. Antoine, Rocky, age 73 of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord Monday, September 20, 2021. Rocky is survived by his wife of 53 years, Yvonne; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kendra St. Antoine; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Brian Mulheisen, and his pride and joy, his five grandsons: Zach, Luc, Drew, Jonah, and Justin. Rocky was born in Detroit on March 5, 1948. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968, the same year he married Yvonne. While serving his country, Rocky earned two Bronze Stars and three Purple Hearts. He returned home a disabled vet, however, that did not slow him down. In 1974, the family moved to Grand Rapids to the Northview School District. Although he lost most of his sight, he continued his family business in roofing homes. He was active with all things Northview Athletics as a member of Northview Little League, hockey boosters, and athletic boosters. In his later years, you could always find Rocky supporting his grandchildren at Northview or Forest Hills Northern basketball and baseball games. Rocky loved life, loved his family, and loved his friends. He attacked everyday like it was his last. After what he went through in Vietnam, he viewed everyday as a gift. He will be greatly missed by all he touched. A celebration of life will be in the coming weeks.
