Ruth Anne (Rudzinski) Lomas

Ruth Anne Lomas (Rudzinski) was peacefully reunited from her home in Spring Lake into the loving arms of our Lord and her beloved parents Joseph & Bernice (Buczynski) on March 14, 2021.

A single parent, Ruth Anne’s legacy is rooted in treasures starting with her three priceless & accomplished children: Susan (Sheldon) Swanson of Muskegon, Dr. Kenneth (Angie) Lomas, PhD of Virginia and Steven Lomas of Spring Lake. Grand daughters Gwendolyn Noelle and Rosalyn Paige,  gems to their beloved “Grandy,” brilliantly reflect the pride & joy that abounded from her heart! Ken’s step-sons Sean and Brandon were the newest teen additions to our group. Her only brother Robert (Dolores) Rudzinski of Kentucky and their children: Randall, Lisa, Russell (Yume) and Leigh Ann (Dan) Haman complete her cherished family circle.

Ruth Anne’s vibrant and charismatic personality sparked her passion to make a difference through friendship with: the “lunch bunch of 56” from Catholic Central H.S., students-parents-colleagues during her teaching tenure at Kent City H.S., fellow loyal Poles involved with the Polish Heritage Society, enthusiasts of theatre-art-music, admirers of literary works and thrifting thrill seekers!

Ruth Anne was a collector of things “fine to funky” but what she cherished most was the human spirit! Her senior yearbook quote was: “If I can’t do the great things, I can do the small things in a great way.” She shared knowledge (GVSU graduate: 1974, 1985), opinions, experiences, laughter, gifts & songs at “just the right times” to cultivate happiness within others!
