Sandra Lee (Perrin) Berg, aged 69, of Grand Rapids, Michigan died on October 27, 2022. Sandy was cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and experiencing her kindness, caregiving, friendship, and love. She was born in Grand Rapids on March 17, 1953 and was a licensed practical nurse, proudly serving for over 36 years at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. She loved celebrating her Irish heritage and her St. Patrick’s Day birthday. She was very loved and will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Erin Berg and Chris Jamieson of Washington, DC; her beloved granddaughter, Rose Jamieson; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Mary Perrin of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Bill and Theresa Perrin of Hickory, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Matt and Katie Besemer, Chris and Jessica Perrin, and Jennie and Kevin Sims; and great-nieces and nephew, Lily, Cameron, and Violet Besemer. She will also be remembered by her good friends, too many to list, but especially Jan Read and Bonnie Berg, whose care and love at her end of life was incredibly special to Sandy and Erin. We would also like to thank the phenomenal caregivers at Boulder Creek Assisted Living and Corsocare Hospice (especially Nurse Kirsten). Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Doris Perrin; sister, Sally Crame; and numerous close friends. Cremation will take place via Memorial Alternatives and a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 27, 1:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1025 3 Mile Rd. NE, Grand Rapids, MI, Rev. Molly Bosscher presiding. A gathering will be hosted by the family afterwards at 3:30 p.m. at one of Sandy’s favorite restaurants, Cheer’s Good Time Saloon, 3994 Plainfield Ave. NE.
