Scott Richard Palasek

On Tuesday July 12^th, at age 76 our father, grandfather and brother, Scott Richard Palasek left this life to be with the love of his life Julie, in Heaven.  He passed away doing what he loved, spending time on the river, boating and enjoying the great outdoors.

Scott was born in Grand Rapids on March 16, 1946.  He attended Union High School, where he met his sweetheart, Julie Arsulowicz. He was then off to fight in the war in Vietnam. When he returned, he started working as a splicer for Michigan Bell, from which he later retired. Scott and Julie were married and started their family. They had 2 children and eventually moved to Grand Haven. Later in life he was blessed with a granddaughter, Sophie, whom he loved to spend time with over the years.

Scott is preceded in death by his wife Julie, his parents Walter and Joyce Palasek, sister-in-law Virginia Palasek, and brother-in-law Joseph Sweeney. He is survived by his children Martha Leavitt (Steve), Andrew Palasek (Kelli), granddaughter Sophie DeLoof, brother Mike Palasek, and sister Lynne Larson (Randy), sister-in-law Mary Ann O’Neill (Tim), brothers-in-law Tony Arsulowicz (Cammie) and Mike Arsulowicz (Betty).

To honor Scott's wishes, cremation has been completed, and a private burial service will take place. Please join us in a celebration of life party for both Scott and Julie Palasek at the West Leonard Banquet Facility on Friday August 26^th from 4-7pm (open house).
